$10000 Boots Stolen
SAINT JO — Police have charged a man with felony theft for allegedly stealing a pair of award-winning $10,000 cowboy boots from a North Texas custom shop.
Adrian Lex Parker, 30, was arrested Wednesday at the Saint Jo police department when he came in to give a statement. An employee of Trail Town Custom Leather identified Parker as the suspect who made off with the boots last month when the employee was distracted by a phone call.

His Maserati Cambiocorsa has been at a DVLA pound in White City, west London, since May. It had been spotted without tax and was towed by Transport for London from a square in Knightsbridge.
Each day the car is left in the pound adds another £25 to his bill.

Pentagon Paid $998,798 to Ship Two 19-Cent Washers
Aug. 16 (Bloomberg) -- A small South Carolina parts supplier collected about $20.5 million over six years from the Pentagon for fraudulent shipping costs, including $998,798 for sending two 19-cent washers to a Texas base, U.S. officials said.
The company also billed and was paid $455,009 to ship three machine screws costing $1.31 each to Marines in Habbaniyah, Iraq, and $293,451 to ship an 89-cent split washer to Patrick Air Force Base in Cape Canaveral, Florida, Pentagon records show.
Man Faked Being A Dentist For 29 Years
A man has been arrested in Malaysia for working as a dentist for 29 years with no medical training or qualifications.
He treated patients at his home in Kuala Lumpur, using a cast-off army dentist's chair dating from the 1940s, the New Straits Times newspaper said.
Police and health officials raided the man's apartment, acting on a tip, and found painkillers and syringes.
He said he had assisted an army dentist in the 1960s and 1970s by carrying his bag and had learned how to pull teeth.
Loser of pants, $54 million lawsuit files appeal
Roy Pearson, a District of Columbia administrative law judge, filed a notice of appeal Tuesday.
Jin Nam Chung and Soo Chung, the owners of Custom Cleaners, had hoped Pearson would back off the case after withdrawing their demand Monday that he pay their legal fees, their attorney said.
