With a winning bid of just $1.75, a Chicago woman is getting an abandoned home in Saginaw.Joanne Smith, 30, recently was the top bidder for the home at 1606 Perkins street during an auction on eBay.Her bid was one of eight for the home, which she said she wants to resell.Smith moved to Chicago five years ago from Miami, Fla. She said she hasn't seen the property or visited Saginaw.

Saginaw officials said she also must pay almost $1,000 in back taxes and cleanup costs for overgrown weeds and trash.

The fee is due by Tuesday, March 31, or the city will foreclose on the property.The owner began the online bidding at one penny.
